Two manuscripts written in England, probably bound together in the Middle Ages.
The first manuscript, written in the first half of the 14th century, comprises [1] the Victoria contra Judeos of Porchetus Januensis, Ord. Carth. (ff. 1-91v), and [2] the only known copy of a work written in 1208 (ff. 92-224): see R. W. Hunt, 'The disputation of Peter of Cornwall against Symon the Jew', Studies in medieval history presented to F. M. Powicke, 1948, pp. 143-156, which prints Peter's preface addressed to Stephen Langton on pp. 153-156.
According to M. R. James (as cited in the references below), Petrus, Prior S. Trinitatis was called Petrus Canonicus by Leland and Bale.
The main text of [2] is in three books (bk 2: f. 157v; bk 3: f. 191v); it is followed by a supplement in four chapters (ff. 224-226v), belonging to the period immediately after Simon's conversion to the Christian faith.
The second manuscript, written in the second half of the 13th century, contains [3] two works by St Thomas Aquinas: 'Scriptum fratris thome de alkino super librum Dionisii de diuinis nominibus et super librum de eb[domadibus]' (pencil title at foot of f. 231).
Foilios 227-230v and 298v are blank.

Folios 1, 2, 299-302 are medieval endleaves.
Written space: [1] and [2], 245 x 145 mm. [3], 220 x 150 mm.
[1] and [2]: Written in 2 columns of 63-67 lines. Frame ruling reinforced by horizontals at intervals of about 8 lines. [3]: Written in two columns of 48-51 lines.
Collation of ff. 3-230: 1-12¹² 3⁸ (ff. 27-34) 4-19¹² 20⁸. Collation of ff. 231-298: 21-25¹² 26¹⁰.
Both parts of the manuscript with ad hoc signatures.
[1] and [2] written in anglicana.
Initials of [1] and [2] in red and blue with ornament of both colours and violet; mainly 2-line, blue with red ornament or red with blue, or from f. 98 onwards, violet ornament; 1-line in red or blue.
Initials of [3]: on f. 231, blue patterned in red, with blue and red ornament; or 2-line, blue with red ornament or red with violet.
Secundo folio: (f. 4) Ista. Quemadmondum; (f. 232) tellectum.
Rebound at Eton around 1720; rust marks from the metal on a former binding show on ff. 1, 297-302: one at head, one at foot, and two on the side of each leaf.
14th-century inscription on f. 300v: Precium istius libri iiiior nobilia'.
