Description based on notes by M. R. James in the interleaved, annotated copy of his Descriptive catalogue at ECL (MS 932).

Finely drawn and coloured, with inscriptions in Chinese.

Accompanied by a manuscript key (MS 205A) in French, late 18th century, combining a list and explanation of the lettering on the plan and a description of the palace, bearing former ECL shelfmark Bn.20.

Note

Formerly mounted on limp cloth and on rollers; relaid and remounted on stiff boards in 1920; cleaned, rebacked and reassembled in 1996.
