17th-century (?) English (?) dark brown calf binding; central frame with blind decorative roll and corner decorations; five raised bands; rebacked in 2007 by R. Day with the addition of two flyleaves on front and back of book; original label previously on spine with gilt titling 'Gerarde's Herbal 1636' and gilt double fillet pasted on front pastedown.
Imperfect: wanting ff. [paragraph]1 blank; 7B3-7B4 and 7B6 (blank).
