17th-century English calf binding; binder known as Medallion Binder (see a very similar binding in BL Bookbinding database, shelfmark Davis86); gilt tooled frame between blind triplet fillet frame with smaller decorations at inner and outer corners; diamond shape blind triplet fillet decoration with one gold fillet in the middle; central armorial stamp of Edward VI; six raised bands with double alum-tawed skin supports and decorated with blind fillets; gold titling on spine; traces of two ties, right to left; ms leaves beneath pastedowns; gold edges.
