Spine flat, divided by transverse gold-tooled fillets into five compartments; of which, the head and tail filled with a diaper quatrefoil pattern, the inner compartments with gilt lettering ('Inchbald's British Theatre'; 'Vol. XXX'; 'Modern Theatre'). Textblock trimmed and ?speckled. Endpapers undecorated; one sheet pasted down, with two free endpapers.
