18th-century mottled brown clafskin over paste/millboards. Gilt fillings around the border of the covers.Spine with no raised bands; gilt tools and fillets; gilt titling over red morocco label ('Gray's Fables'). Single endbands with plain thread. Textblock trimmed and flat. Endleaves of marbled (pastedowns and facing flyleaves) and undecorated paper; two flyleaves at the upper end of the textblock and three at the lower end.
