19th-century blue cloth over millboards. Covers have a blind pattern. Spine flat with gilt titling ("Sir J. Ross's Arctic expedition 1829-1833"); damage at the head shows spine was reinforced with printed book waste. Textblock trimmed. Endpapers of undecorated wove paper; one flyleaf at both ends of the textblock.
