20th century pictorial bookplate of C. J. M. Adie on upper pastedown.
Binding
18th century light brown sheepskin over millboard, sewn on recessed supports; ?rebacked and repaired (20th century). Both covers undecorated; extension of leather from spine to approx. 10% of covers. Spine smooth and slightly rounded, decorated with transverse blind fillets; onlaid spine label (gilt titling over red morocco; "Wicherly's Works."); ?false endbands of alternating red and brown thread. Textblock trimmed and undecorated. New endpapers comprising a bifolium of plain white wove paper (pastedown and flyleaf).
