17th-century brown morocco over pasteboards. Covers decorated with blind tools and fillets to form a panel; the same tools are used to form a cross inside the compartment created by the panel; the remaining space (composed by four compartments) includes other blind tools; gilt roll on board-edges; gilt roll on turn-ins. Spine with five raised bands, decorated with blind fillets and gilt titling ("Pietro de Luca"; "La arte del ben pensare"; "Vinegia, 1541"). Textblock trimmed and gilted. Endpapers of marbled (pastedowns and facing flyleaves) and undecorated paper; four flyleaves at both ends of the textblock. Box case showing spine, marbled paper outside and red patterned cloth inside.
