Set forth and allowed to be sung in all churches, of all the people together before after morning and euening praier: as also before and after sermons, and moreouer in priuate houses, for their godly solace and comfort, laying apart all vngodly songs and ballads, which tend onely to the nourishment of vice, and corrupting of youth..

Binding

17th-century brown calfskin over pasteboards. Covers decorated with triple gilt fillets (now faded) to form a border and a gilt centre-piece with initials I on its left and W on its right; visible holes left from missing clasps on both boards. Spine rebacked with five raised bands, decorated with gilt titling over red label ("the Bible"). Textblock trimmed. Endpapers of undecorated laid paper; one flyleaf at both ends of the textblock.
