19th-century quarter-bound calfskin and marbled paper over millboards. Covers decorated with gilt rolls separating leather from paper. Spine with five raised bands, decorated with gilt tools, fillets, and titling over red labels ("Thomas Sutton and the Charterhouse"; "1737"). Textblock trimmed and sprinkled red. Endpapers of undecorated paper; one flyleaf at both ends of the textblock.
