Most plates are signed by Robert Morden and include some variation of the imprint "sold by Abel Swale Awnsham and Iohn Churchill".
Eight single-page plates of coins and medals are numbered in Roman numerals, and interspersed between unnumbered plates at the beginning of the volume. Most of the plates are double-page maps (sometimes bound folded).
"The counties of England and VVales." and "Scotland, Ireland, and the British Islands." each have divisional half-titles on O2r and *Iii2r respectively.
Woodcut initials and factotums; printed marginal notes.
The title-page is set within a double-rule border.

?18th-century polished and speckled calfskin over pasteboards. Covers decorated with double blind fillets to form a border and a rectangular panel with tools at the corners - inner compartment is polished, the outer is speckled; blind transversal tools on board edges have been overlaid with a gilt roll on the fore-edge. Spine rebacked with six raised bands, decorated with blind fillets and gilt titling over red label ("Camdens Britannia"). Textblock trimmed and sprinkled red (mostly faded). Endpapers of undecorated paper; two flyleaves at the upper end of the textblock and one at the lower end.
