Errors in pagination: pp. 131-134 and 137-148 omitted from sequence; plates of leaves inserted, with directions for pp. 131-132, 134, 137, 139-140, 142, 144/145, and 146-147; perhaps intended to supply the omissions but counted here as leaves of plates. Plates (of coats of arms) directed for pp. 708-717 are printed on both sides.

Spine with six raised bands, decorated with black fillets, dotted roll and tools, gilted titling over beige morocco label ("Ashmole's Order of the Garter"). Textblock trimmed and sprinkled red. Endpapers of modern undecorated paper; two flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
