With an additional title page, engraved, signed "R. Gaywood fecit"; the frontispiece plate (engraved coat of arms with motto "A posse, ed esse") is an altered version of the one first used in Wing C658.

17th-century sheepskin over pasteboards. Covers decorated with double blind fillets to form a border; blind roll on board edges. Spine flat decorated with blind fillets. Textblock trimmed and sprinkled green (mostly faded). Endpapers of undecorated paper; one flyleaf (with one stub) at both ends of the textblock.
Ms. bills dated 1677/8 on front flyleaf. The same hand made a note on title page, which has been crossed out.
