?19th-century quarter-bound calfskin and marbled paper over mill/pasteboards. Covers decorated with double gilt fillets to separate leather from paper. Spine with four raised bands, decorated with blind tools and rolls, gilt titling ("Discourse of arms & armory"; "C Waterhous"; "London 1660"). Textblock trimmed and sprinkled red. Endpapers of brown (pastedowns and facing flyleaves) and undecorated paper; two flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
Ms. notes in a modern hand in front flyleaves; etxtra loose bifolium with ms. index of arms in the text.
Red borders added to enclose title page and individual lines as well as rest of text.
