18th-century red morocco over pasteboards. Covers decorated with gilt fillet to form a border and roll to form two panels with tools at the corners; gilt roll on board edges and turn-ins. Spine with six raised bands, decorated with gilt tools. Textblock trimmed, gilted, and gauffered. Endpapers of marbled (pastedowns and facing flyleaves) and undecorated paper; five flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
