Early 20th-century calfskin over mill/pasteboards, bound by H. Wood (in London?). Covers decorated with double gilt fillets to form a border; transversal gilt fillets on board edges; gilt roll on turn-ins. Spine with five raised bands, decorated with gilt tools, fillets, rolls and titling over brown label ("Blason des armes "; "Lyon 1542"). Textblock trimmed and gilted. Endpapers of marbled (pastedowns and facing flyleaves) and undecorated paper; two flyleaves at the upper end of the textblock, 18 blank leaves at the lower end.
Coats of arms and printer's device are hand-painted.
