The psalms have separate title page: "A new version of the psalms of David, fitted to the tunes used in churches. By N. Brady D. D. Chaplain in ordinary and N. Tate Esq; poet-laureate to His Majesty." Imprint indicates it was published in Birmingham in 1762 and printed by John Baskerville.

18th-century red calfskin over pasteboards. Covers decorated with gilt rolls to form a border; transversal fillets on board edges and turn-ins. Spine with five raised bands, decorated with gilt fillets and floral tools. Textblock trimmed and gilted. Endpapers of marbled (pastedowns and facing flyleaves) and undecorated laid paper; two flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
Ms. note on second front flyleaf (in Burrell's hand?): "14 Oct: 1956. Brecon Cathedral. Mattins".
