?17th-century calfskin over pasteboards. Covers decorated with double blind fillets to form a border, with an additional line parallel to the spine about 1 cm. from the left-hand-side margin. Spine with four raised bands, decorated with gilt titling over red label ("Compleat gentleman"). Textblock trimmed and sprinkled brown. Endpapers of undecorated paper; one flyleaf at both ends of the platform; both pastedowns lifted.
Illegible ms. signatures on inner front board.
