19th-century vellum over pasteboards. Upper cover decorated with arms of Frederick Conway Montagu, with motto "no thing on Earth remaineth but fame"; lower cover undecorated. Spine flat, decortaed with gilt titling ("Campani notizie di nobil"). Textblock trimmed, sprinkled red and blue. Endpapers of undecorated laid paper; one flyleaf at both ends of the textblock.
