Armorial bookplate of Earl Waldegrave -- probably James, the 2nd Earl -- on front pastedown.
18th-century speckled calfskin over pasteboards. Covers decorated with double gilt fillets to form a border with gilt tools at the corners; blind fillets and rolls form two concentric panels, the outer one of which has tools at its outer corners. Spine with seven sewing supports, decorated with gilt fillets, tools and titling ("Winwood state papers "). Textblock trimmed and sprinkled red. Endpapers of undecorated laid paper; two flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
