19th-century red morocco over mill/pasteboards. Covers decorated with gilt triple fillets to form a border with tools at the corners; gilt dotted roll on board edges; gilt roll on turn-ins. Spine with five raised bands, decorated with gilt fillets, tools and titling ("Dresses and decorations of the Middle Ages"). Textblock trimmed and gilted. Endpapers of marbled (pastedowns and facing flyleaves) and undecorated paper; two flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
