Late 19th/early 20th-century boards covered in cream paper with hand-lettered watercolour cover titles within wreath design of green foliage and teal scrolls, surrounding calligraphic monogram with initials BED (in descending order of size). Foliage decoration to spine. Stiff, possibly card endpapers with thick gilt border.
Pencil inscription (probably 20th-century) at head of title: 1798.
Bound with a copy of Thomas Otway, Venice preserved ... with the variations in the manager's book, London: J. Barker, [ca. 1792?]. Both items with untrimmed edges.
