Late 19th/early 20th-century boards covered in cream vellum with hand-lettered watercolour cover titles within wreath design of green foliage and teal scrolls, surrounding calligraphic monogram with initials BED (in descending order of size). Foliage decoration to spine. Endpapers possibly formed of earlier wrapper with thick gilt border.
Pencil inscriptions (probably 20th-century) at head of title: 1793; at foot of imprint: 1791.
Bound with a copy of Edward Moore, The gamester ... distinguishing the variations of the theatres, London: J. Barker, [ca. 1798?]. Both items with untrimmed edges.
