Final plate, "L'empire de la mort", is an allegorical depiction of Death as a skeleton seated on a throne of bone; signed: "Nolin f." "Henry Cheneau inventor".

?16th-century laced-case vellum binding. Covers undecorated. Spine flat and undecorated. Textblock trimmed. Endpapers of laid paper with parchment and paper repairs; one flyleaf at both ends of the textblock.
