18th-century speckled calfskin over pasteboards. Covers decorated with gilt roll to form a border; transversal blind fillets on board edges and turn-ins. Spine with five raised bands, decorated with gilt fillets, rolls, tools, and titling over black label ("Pennant's hist. of Whiteford"); former shelf label at the tail ("Cl.4.9"). Textblock trimmed and sprinkled green; green cloth bookmark. Endpapers of undecorated paper; one flyleaf at both ends of the textblock.
