?17th-century armorial binding; calfskin over pasteboards. Covers decorated with gilt roll to form a border; gilt centrepiece is a coat of arms; gilt roll on board edges. Spine with six raised bands, decorated with gilt fillets, tools and titling over red label ("Christyn Iurispruden heroica"). Textblock trimmed and dyed red (mostly faded). Endpapers of marbled (pastedowns and facing leaves) and undecorated paper; two flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
