Binding

French armorial binding; brown morocco over pasteboards. Covers decorated with double gilt fillets to form a border and a panel, with gilt fleur de lys tools in between; unidentified coat of arms as centrepiece. Spine with five raised bands, decorated with gilt fillets and tools. Textblock trimmed, sprinkled red and brown. Endpapers of undecorated laid paper; two flyleaves at the upper end of the textblock, one at the lower end.
