Binding

Fine contemporary brown morocco wallet binding (fore-edge flap and envelope flap, Type II) with central finely decorated rectangular panels and border cartouches of gilt-stamped flora/ motifs and cloud-scrolls; in the inner side of boards and flaps red morocco doublures with central medallions and cornerpieces of fine black paper filigree over blue grounds; marbled endpapers. Originally the manuscript was kept in a red box-book with decorated paper (Type I), now ECOM 19A in Sa1.5.20A.
