19th-century quarter-bound red polished calfskin and marbled paper over ?paste/millboards. Covers decorated with gilt fillets to separate paper from leather. Spine decorated with gilt fillets, tools, and titling ("Tennyson's poetical works"). Textblock trimmed, rounded, and marbled. Endpapers of marbled (pastedowns and facing flyleaves) and undecorated paper; two flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
