Early 19th century brown calf half binding; marbled paper boards; rebacked retaining smooth gold-tooled spine with gold-lettered title in second compartment; gold-tooled oval armorial device of the 1st Marquess of Salisbury stamped on gild-framed red morocco on both boards; repaired with later endpapers trimmed to show earlier inscription and bookplate.
