Binding

20th-century vellum binding. Covers decorated with triple gilt fillets to form a border; gilt fillets on board edges and gilt roll on turn-ins; upper cover decorated with a gilt title in Gothic-style letters and, below it, two identical coats of arms of Eton College. Spine rounded, decorated with gilt fillets at the head and tail. Textblock trimmed and gilted. Endpapers of decorated and plain paper; decoration consists of flowers on gold background; two flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.

Includes two leaflets loosely inserted at the upper end of the textblock. The first is the music for a "Thanksgiving Service" dated Wednesday June 24, 1891 (Eton : R. Ingalton Drake) in commemoration for the 450th year of the College. The second is a special programme of the Eton Loan Exhibiton in Upper School and the collection of portraits in the Drill Hall, dated June 24th-25th 1891 (Eton : R. Ingalton Drake).
