Slip of paper inserted at the end of the volume with an extract from the will of Archibald George Blomefield Russell recording the donation of the manuscript written and illuminated by Nigel Wykes (Housemaster at Eton) to Eton College in memory of his sons. According to the interleaved copy of M.R. James's catalogue of the mansucripts of Eton College Library, Russell donated the manuscript in 1956.
