Contents: French translation: "Un yatagan, fait par Omer le Bosniaque, en l'an 1239" (i.e. Umar al-Busnawi; AH 1239/ AD 1823-4) -- "Une paire de pistolets, fait par Seïd Mohamed Naïm" -- "Un yatagay ... fait par Omer et appartenant Réchid Mehemed Pacha" (i.e. Reşid Mehmed Pasha, 1780-1836) -- "Tableau [literary composition] L'ecrivain Moustapha Izzet Yesarizardé en l'an 1222" (i.e. Yesarizade Mustafa Izzet Efendi; AH 1222 / AD 1807) -- "Tableau [literary composition] L'ecrivain Imad-ul-Husseini".
Scope and content: This booklet presents short descriptions or "captions" written in Ottoman Turkish for unidentified objects, including a dagger and pistols. Two of them are listed as "tablets", which are accompanied by transcriptions of Persian verses that were written on them. While the descriptions are translated into French, the Persian text is not.
