Scope and content: Three letters from the early and late 19th century; two are signed by Thomas Dampier OE and regard his appointments as Bishop of Rochester and Bishop of Ely; one is sent by L.R. Phelps (Oriel College, Oxford) to Dr Warre (Head Master of Eton College) mentioning the establishment of a museum at Eton to commemorate Old Etonians and providing said letters as a way to commemorate Dampier.
