Page preparation: very light ruling in pencil; varying numbers of lines.
Decoration: borders and decorated initials in a wide-ranging palette of blues, pinks, reds, green, purple and gold with floral or natural themes.
Handwriting: script inspired by uncial, written in red and black and executed by Norman Gordon Wykes.
Scope and content: A fair copy entitled "The administration of the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion"; follows a series of prayers.

Colophon at f.22r recto reads: "This work was written and illuminated by Norman Gordon Wykes at Eton College during Lent AD mcmxl".
20th-century half-bound burgundy pigskin and cloth over ?millboards. Covers decorated with gilt fillets to separate leather from textile. Spine with five raised bands, decorated with gilt fillets and dotted roll. Textblock cut but untrimmed. Endpapers of undecorated paper; four flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
