Gratae vices" dated 10 September 1807 (1 leaf), "English translations from Greek, Spanish, German, Italian and French" (1 gathering of 8 leaves), one note regarding a book in 12 languages from 1560 (2 leaves), one note with Greek verses by Shelley and the Hellenics by Walter Savage Landor (1 leaf, folded).
Mise-en-page: usually two columns written in cursive but calligraphic scripts (Latin, Greek, Arabic). The writer divided the textblock into three parts, each of which has blank pages at the end. Numeration in Arabic numerals in top right corners; starts from 1 at the beginning of each part.

Handwriting: one hand, E.C. Hawtrey's, throughout.

Origin: "Eton, 1806" is written on front flyleaf.
19th-century vellum over ?millboards. Covers decorated with gilt (now faded) roll with floral motifs to form a border. Spine is flat, decorated with gilt (now faded) fillets. Textblock trimmed and dyed red. Endpapers of red (lining papers) and undecorated paper; one flyleaf at both ends of the textblock.
