19th-century red morocco over ?millboards. Covers decorated with gilt fillet to form a border and panels; gilt roll to form a penl with gilt tools at the inner corners ; gilt roll on fore-edges and turn-ins. Spine with five raised bands, decorated with gilt fillets, tools, and titling ("British ballads"). Textblock trimmed and gilted. Endpapers of undecorated paper; three flyleaves at the upper end of the textblock, two at the lower end.
