Scope and content: Evelyn updates the Provost on his work Numismata. A Discourse of Medals, Antient and Modern and tells him his plans for a second edition of Sculptura: or the History, and Art of Chalcography.
Frances Evelyn Rowley Heygate donated the letter to the college in 1914 as stated in the preface to the volume Seven letters of John Evelyn, Oxford 1914 (Saa2.6.10).
Round stamp of Eton College at the beginning and at the end of the letter.
