Double plates 1 and 36 have the printer's imprint of Lemercier, Paris; all other plates bear the publishers' imprint of Noblet et Baudry and the printer's imprint of Lamoureux, Paris.

Eton College Library armorial bookplate reading "Collegium Beatae Mariae de Etona" on the front pastedown, with a ms. inscription in pencil "E. W. back" written within the bookplate.

Tipped in note on the front flyleaf from [?] Balston reading: "The author of this work, the Cte. de Vogué, was a friend of the Revd. George Williams of King's College, Cambridge, and by him introduced to Archdeacon Balston, in whose name it is now presented to Eton College Library", dated August 23rd, 1893.

20th century green half leather binding over blue morocco boards; blind-tooled double fillet borders on both covers; gilt lettering within a gilt frame on spine; untrimmed fore and bottom edges; green endpapers.
