19th century calf; gold-tooled spines with five false bands; red and brown spine labels in second and fourth compartments; gilt foliate roll-tooled borders with arms of Prince Albert the Prince Consort on upper boards and of Eton College on lower boards; marbled fore-edges to match the endpapers.
