Authorship of the Eikon basilike was originally attributed to Charles I, but according to Madan (pp. 125-33) it was written by John Gauden, who probably included some authentic writings of the king.
"The life of Charles I" signed: Richard Perrinchiefe.
"Perrinchief . completed the edition prepared by William Fulman . and compiled a life for it from Fulman's notes and some materials of Silas Titus." Cf. DNB.
With an additional title page (plate), engraved and signed: Basilika The works of Charles. I. with his life and martyrdome ... A. Hertocks fecit.
"A collection of declarations, treaties, and other principal passages concerning the differences betwixt King Charles I. and his two Houses of Parliament·" has a separate dated title page, lacking publisher's name, on leaf 2E3r.
