Full-length Staffordshire ceramic of Charlotte Saunders Cushman (1816-1876) as Romeo and her sister Susan Cushman (1822-1859) as Juliet in William Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'; 'Romeo + Juliet' written on the base. Romeo, in skirted tunic (left). Juliet, in tight bodice and full skirt (right). Both standing, bare-headed.
