Sarcophagus fragment: dextrarum iunctio

Description
The fragment shows two intercolumniations of a column sarcophagus that on left being wider with a triangular pediment, the other with a shallow arch. On left a man wearing a toga clasps the hand of a woman with her head covered and turning her back to the viewer. Between them stands a putto who holds a basket of flowers in one hand, blossoms in the other. In intercolumniation on right stands a bearded man holding a roll, with a small figure, child or putto, by his side. Curtains hang behind the figures in each intercolumniation.
