Sarcophagus: Orestes and Iphigenia in Tauris

Description
According to Montelatici, a fragment with much restoration. On left Pylades supports Orestes who has sunk to the ground, clutching his sword in one hand, his scabbard in the other. Two Furies holding blazing torches flank this group. In centre, Iphigenia stands to right clasping the statuette of Artemis. On right a nude Greek fights two Thracian warriors, one of whom has a fallen to the ground. Far right a second nude Greek draws his sword.
