Content (description)

A hunter on horseback in the centre, accompanied by Virtus on foot and carrying a horn, aims his spear at a lion which springs at him from bottom right. Hounds rush at the lion from left and right, and a hunter attacks on foot on right of hero. A wounded man lies beneath the horse. A boar lies dead beneath the lion. Above the lion rises a diagonal rock over which appear two figures, one of them Luna, and a tree trunk. A tall tree closes each end of the relief, that on the left hiding the forepart of a boar. A curtain hangs from its branches. A youth in the background behind the boar looks to left.
