Description
113: front. The front is surmounted by a tympanum flanked by two rosettes. In the tympanum are two busts. The body is divided into two, the upper part being slightly larger. In the upper part a man reclines on a high-sided couch, with a woman sitting on left by his feet. A three-legged table in the foreground holds a vase and two cups. The man and woman each hold a cup. A dog is seated under the couch on left. On right at the head of the couch is a palm tree and on far right stands a horse facing left. In the lower part is a panel bearing an inscription, flanked by two nude putti, the one on right holding a garland, the other carrying a palm branch and a basket of fruit on his shoulder. The inscription is as follows: DIS MANIBUS/ P VITELLI SUCCESSI/ VITELLIA CLEOPATRA/ UXORBTNEMERENTI/ FECIT.
