Description
Content (description)
A round altar with a gently curving profile. Round the top runs a frieze of garlands hanging from fleshless boukrania. The main area consists of concavities flanked by panels of floral scroll rising from acanthus leaves and topped by three rosettes. In each concavity a 'candelabrum' rises from the backs of two birds.
