Description
At the top two palmettes flank a pediment in which an eagle stands on a scrolly branch. The pediment is supported by a fluted Corinthian pillar at each side. Between them is a double door flanked by two sphinxes, which sit facing the centre. A garland of leaves and berries hangs from the capitals down in front of the door. Over the door is a panel with the inscription: DIIS MANIBUS/SPERATO/ VIXIT ANNIS XV/ MENSISUS VIIII/ DIEBUS XIIII/FECIT A SERGIUS/CHRYSANTIIUS/ FILIO PIISSIMO/ ET SIBI ET SUIS/ POSTERISQUE EORUM
