Description
On the lid acroteria flank two interlocking pediments, over the junction of which is set a patera. In each pediment a bird, facing centre, pecks at fruit falling out of an overturned basket. On the body in the centre are two pedimented inscription panels side by side. On left and right on rocky projections stand Attis figures, draped and holding a pedum each. The inscription on left reads D M / P SCANTIO/ FULVIANO/ P SCANTIUS/ IUSTUS PAT/ FIL PIISSIM. The inscription on the right reads D M / FABIAE/ FILIUS SUIS.
